James L. Pyers, 65, of rural Perrysville died Thursday afternoon, May 25, 2017, in Regency Hospital, Middleburg Heights, after a long battle with asbestosis. Jim was born July 23, 1951, in Millersburg and was the son of James Robert and Louella (ne Hughes) Pyers.

Murmur L. Calhoun, ultimate teacher and supreme humanitarian, passed away Monday evening, May 15, 2017, at Brethren Care of Ashland, after a short illness. She is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Minnock, and son-in-law, Steve Minnock, of Kentucky. Also surviving are sisters Rebecca L.
Helen Jean Bowman, 92, formerly of South Mount Vernon Avenue, Loudonville, died Wednesday, May 3, 2017, at Colonial Manor Health Care Center after an extended illness. She was born July 7, 1924, in Fort Myers, Florida, and was the adopted daughter of Fred and Virginia MacMillan.

Debra J. "Debi" Ward, 62, passed away Thursday, April 27, 2017, at home following a three-year battle with cancer. She was born Aug. 10, 1954, to Del Oliver and Patricia Ferrell in Dayton. Debi was a 1972 graduate of Mount Vernon High School.

Nona Ruth Boals, 76, of Dalton, Georgia, formerly of Loudonville, died Tuesday morning, April 4, 2017, in her home surrounded by her family. Nona was born May 12, 1940 in Renfro, Kentucky, and was the daughter of Ira and Esther (Burden) Allen.
Memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 13, 2017 in Zion Lutheran Church, Loudonville with the Rev. Scott Henderson officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 10 to 11 before the funeral and after the services at the luncheon in the church fellowship hall.
